We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Worker to join our team within our charity. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for food preparation and a keen eye for food safety standards. This role offers an excellent opportunity to be a part of a lovely, small team, contributing to the preparation of high-quality meals for our Day Centre members. Applicants should be organised, efficient, and eager to learn in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
Duties
Assist with meal preparation and food assembly according to established recipes and standards
Support catering operations by preparing ingredients and assisting with event setups
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of kitchen workstations and utensils
Ensure adherence to food safety regulations and hygiene standards at all times
Help with serving food during meal times, ensuring prompt and kind service.
Assist with inventory management by organising supplies and notifying stock needs
Support the team in maintaining a smooth workflow during busy periods
Experience
Previous experience in a restaurant, catering, or food service environment is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided
Familiarity with basic cooking techniques and meal preparation processes
Knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices within a commercial kitchen setting
Experience in food preparation, kitchen organisation, or culinary roles is desirable
Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

Pay: 12.21 per hour
