Job Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Nursery Manager to cover a period of maternity leave. The Nursery Manager will be responsible to oversee our nursery facility in addition to our current leadership team and for ensuring the safety, well-being, and development of the children in our care. This is a leadership role that requires excellent communication skills and the ability to effectively manage a team.

Responsibilities:

- Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children in the nursery
- Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum and activities
- Supervise and support nursery staff, including hiring, training, and scheduling
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, incidents, and child development progress
- Communicate regularly with parents regarding their child's progress and any concerns
- Ensure compliance with all licensing regulations and health and safety standards
- Manage the nursery budget and resources effectively
- Collaborate with other departments within the organization to ensure smooth operations

Qualifications:

- Previous experience in childcare or early childhood education is required
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, in English
- Ability to multitask and prioritise responsibilities effectively
- Knowledge of nursery management principles and best practices
- Valid driver's license
