Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Nursery Manager to oversee the daily operations of our nursery. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and management, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children. This role requires excellent leadership skills to guide staff and foster positive relationships with parents and children alike.

Duties

Manage the overall operations of the nursery, including staffing, budgeting, and compliance with regulations. Develop and implement educational programmes that promote children's development and learning. Supervise and support nursery staff, providing guidance and training as needed. Foster a welcoming atmosphere for parents and families, maintaining open lines of communication regarding their children's progress. Ensure that all health and safety standards are met within the nursery environment. Conduct regular assessments of children's development and implement strategies to support their growth. Organise activities that encourage social interaction, creativity, and physical development among children.

Skills

Proven management experience within a childcare setting is essential. Strong leadership skills to motivate and inspire staff members. Experience working with children in a nursery or similar environment is required. Knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices is highly desirable. Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written, to effectively engage with parents, staff, and children. A valid driving licence is preferred for potential transportation needs related to nursery activities. Ability to create a positive learning environment that supports children's emotional and social development.
