Your Role as a Day Shift Support Worker
As a
Day Support Worker
, you will provide practical and emotional support to children throughout their daily routines.
Key responsibilities include:
Supporting children with daily living tasks, independence, and self-care.
Implementing and following personalised care plans tailored to each child's needs and goals.
Offering emotional support, encouragement, and positive role modelling.
Collaborating with families, colleagues, and professionals to ensure coordinated care.
Safely transporting children to school, appointments, or activities when required.
Maintaining accurate records of care and progress using IT systems.
Participating in ongoing training, supervision, and professional development.
What We're Looking For
Previous experience working with children or in a
childcare/residential setting
is highly desirable.
Strong understanding of care plans and ability to implement them effectively.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Valid UK driving licence preferred (for transport duties).
Proficiency in basic IT applications is advantageous.
Kind, compassionate, and patient nature with a genuine desire to support children.
