Day Support Workers

Your Role as a Day Support Worker

As part of a supportive, child-focused team, you'll provide hands-on care and emotional support to young people in a nurturing home environment.

Your responsibilities will include:

Providing personalised care and daily living support. Building positive, trusting relationships that help young people feel safe and understood. Encouraging social, emotional, and personal development through structured activities. Following care plans, risk assessments, and behaviour support strategies. Maintaining a safe, nurturing environment. Recording and reporting accurately on changes in behaviour or wellbeing. Working closely with families, colleagues, and external professionals. Travelling when required to support young people in different settings.
What We're Looking For

Essential:



Experience supporting children or young people (residential or similar setting preferred). Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive, trusting relationships. Patience, empathy, and resilience. A clear understanding of safeguarding and child protection. Flexibility to work structured rotas including evenings and weekends. A collaborative team player with a supportive approach.

Desirable:



NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care or Children and Young People's Workforce. First Aid training. Experience supporting children with complex or challenging behaviours. Full UK driving licence.
