Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Nursery Manager to lead our early childhood education programme. The Nursery Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the nursery, ensuring a safe, stimulating, and nurturing environment for children. They lead the nursery team, manage staff, maintain compliance with regulations, and promote high-quality early years education and care.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Leadership & Management:

Oversee the day-to-day operations of the nursery. Lead, support, and develop nursery staff to maintain a high standard of childcare. Ensure the nursery meets all legal and regulatory requirements. Implement policies and procedures in line with national guidelines. Conduct staff appraisals, training, and performance management.
2. Childcare & Education:

Ensure the delivery of a high-quality curriculum that meets EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stage) standards. Monitor children's progress and implement strategies to support their development. Maintain a safe, caring, and stimulating environment for children. Foster positive relationships with children and promote their well-being.
3. Safeguarding & Health & Safety:

Ensure the nursery complies with safeguarding policies and procedures. Conduct risk assessments and ensure a safe and secure environment. Handle accidents, incidents, and emergencies appropriately.
4. Parent & Community Engagement:

Build strong relationships with parents and carers, providing regular communication and updates. Organize events and activities to engage families in their child's development. Handle complaints and concerns professionally
5. Administrative & Financial Duties:

Manage nursery budgets, staffing levels, and resources effectively. Handle enrolments, invoicing, and financial records. Maintain accurate records of children's progress, attendance, and development. Ensure compliance with inspections from Ofsted or other regulatory bodies.
Key Skills & Qualifications:

Level 3, 4, or 5 in Childcare (or equivalent, such as a degree in Early Childhood Studies). Proven experience in managing a nursery or childcare setting. Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Knowledge of EYFS, safeguarding, and health & safety regulations. Paediatric First Aid certification (desirable).
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 25,880.00-38,767.70 per year
