Job Description

Important Mini People is a private day-care nursery in Carrickfergus. We are open 7:15am to 6:15pm, Monday to Friday. Hours of contract are approximately 1:45pm - 5:45pm, although these will be longer during school closures/holidays.

Roles and responsibilities

:

To ensure a high level of physical, emotional, social and intellectual care and development for the children placed in the nursery To be responsible for any tasks delegated by the manager and to give support to other personnel within the nursery To adhere and enforce all policies and procedures within the nursery To plan routines for the children To risk-assess all aspects of the daily routine to ensure a safe environment for staff, students and children

Essential criteria

Minimum of 1 year's experience in childcare Have a flexible attitude to work Be a team player Be motivated

Desirable criteria

A minimum of NVQ Level 2 in childcare and education, or an equivalent qualification Hold a full and clean driving licence for manual cars. There may be some driving involved for school collections or day trips. Age 25 and over (for car insurance purposes only) Have experience working in a summer-scheme Paediatric first-aid training Safeguarding training
