Breakfast and After School Playworker

Hours:

Part-time, term-time only - Breakfast (7:15 - 8:45 am) and After school sessions (2:30-6:00pm)

About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Playworker to join our team, and supporting children during breakfast and after school sessions. This role involves creating a safe, engaging, and fun environment, helping children develop social skills and enjoy play-based activities. This role requires strong communication skills and the ability to manage groups of children effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise and support children during breakfast and after-school sessions. Plan and lead creative, age-appropriate activities. Ensure the safety, well-being, and inclusion of all children. Build positive relationships with children, staff, and parents.

Requirements:

Experience working with primary-aged children in a similar setting is essential. Relevant childcare qualification (Level 2-essential or any level above desirable). A positive, proactive attitude with strong communication skills. Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written. Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to undergo one). Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage groups of children effectively. Ability to drive may be advantageous for resources as needed. A genuine passion for working with children and promoting their development through play. Knowledge of nursery settings is beneficial but not mandatory.
