As a Support Worker, working closely with daycentre colleagues you'll be responsible for providing a warm, engaging and safe space for older /vulnerable adults. You will provide compassionate person-centred care and support to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those using the service by achieving their stated outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
As a Support Worker, your role will include:
Supporting clients with daily routines in a person-centred, client focused way.
Providing emotional support, companionship, and encouragement to engage with others.
Assisting with low-level mobility (e.g., walking, gentle support, wheelchair assistance).
Supporting care needs where required, maintaining privacy, dignity and respect.
Working with clients on a one-to-one or group basis.
Facilitating or helping to deliver individual and group activities (e.g., games, crafts, music, reminiscence).
Encouraging and supporting social engagement to reduce loneliness and isolation.
Helping serve meals and refreshments and clearing up afterwards.
Keeping the environment safe, clean, and welcoming -- including tasks like loading/unloading dishwashers and laundry machines.
Maintaining accurate records and reporting any incidents, concerns, or safeguarding issues to your line manager promptly.
Working closely with carers, family members and clients to achieve stated outcomes. Working closely with team members and external professionals to achieve stated outcomes.

Other Duties:
Adhering to the Code of Conduct and health and safety legislation.

Performing other duties as required by senior management, commensurate with the role. To be conversant with all Enfield Carer Centre services and their promotion as required.
