Job Summary

The DCDP (Demi Chef de Partie) plays a vital role in the kitchen, assisting the Head Chef and Sous Chef in the preparation and presentation of high-quality dishes. This position requires a passion for culinary excellence, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively within a team. The DCDP will be responsible for ensuring that all food is prepared to the highest standards while maintaining a clean and efficient kitchen environment.

Duties

Assist in the preparation of ingredients and cooking of dishes according to recipes and standards set by the Head Chef. Ensure that all food is presented beautifully and meets quality standards before serving. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen workspace, including proper storage of ingredients and equipment. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations during service periods. Monitor stock levels and assist in ordering supplies as needed. Adhere to health and safety regulations, ensuring compliance with food hygiene standards. Participate in training new kitchen staff as required, sharing knowledge and skills to enhance team performance.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a similar role within a professional kitchen environment is preferred. Strong culinary skills with a good understanding of various cooking techniques. Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent communication skills and ability to work well within a team setting. A passion for food and commitment to delivering exceptional dining experiences. Relevant culinary qualifications or certifications are advantageous but not essential.
