Salary: 27,711 - 30,060 per annum pro rata (Pay award pending)
Hours: 37 hours per week
Location: You will be expected to attend a CBC office location as often as needed to carry out your role, which will be no less than once per month
Contract type: Hybrid - Permanent

About the role:
The Debt Recovery team aims to provide an efficient and responsive service to the whole of the council, ensuring that our resources are managed effectively and appropriately and that we also deliver accounting transparency. Working within Financial Operations you will help us deliver services to the Council and community. We are looking for a full time Debt Recovery Officer with great customer service skills to join a small friendly team and in return you will be rewarded with a varied and interesting work load to help you find your greatness.
The Debt Recovery Officer will support the Senior Debt Recovery Officer by ensuring the Debt Recovery processes are followed to minimise the debt owed to the Council and ensure payments are made promptly by customers. There will also be a requirement to work within the Insurance team in daily tasks to assist with the smooth running of their operations.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and skilled individual with both good accounting and customer service experience. You must be able to prioritise a varied workload to strict deadlines, using multiple software packages and work efficiently and accurately, retaining an eye for detail. You will be a confident and self-motivated individual with good communication and interpersonal skills who enjoys working as part of a small team. You will have a strong customer focus, a flexible approach and attitude, and a commitment to continuous improvement and development of our financial processes.
