Job Overview:
As a Declarant, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing the customs clearance process of imported and exported goods. You will work closely with customs agents, freight forwarders, and other logistics providers to ensure that shipments are processed in compliance with local and international laws and regulations. You will be required to have a thorough understanding of customs clearance procedures, import and export regulations, and the various documentation required for successful clearance of goods.
Responsibilities:
oManage and oversea the customs clearance process for imported and exported goods.
Review shipping documents and ensure that all required documentation is complete and accurate.
Liaise with customs agents, colleagues from other departments to ensure smooth processing of shipments.
Classify goods according to customs regulations and ensure that they are declared accurately.
Ensure compliance with local and international laws and regulations governing customs clearance.
Communicate with relevant stakeholders regarding any delays, issues or concerns with clearance of goods.
Investigate and resolve any customs-related issues, including disputes and penalties.
Provide guidance and support to junior staff in customs clearance procedures.
Maintain accurate records of all customs clearance activities and ensure that all documentation is filed appropriately.
Continuously monitor and review customs clearance procedures to ensure compliance with changing regulations and best practices
Qualifications:
1. at least 2 years of cross-border e-commerce import B2B, B2C import and export customs clearance experience.
2. Familiar with customs declaration operating system, familiar with B2B air and sea import customs clearance.
3. declarant certificate.
