We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Deli Associate to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service while preparing and serving a variety of deli products. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Prepare and serve deli items, ensuring high standards of food safety and hygiene are maintained at all times. Assist customers with their selections, providing recommendations and upselling additional products to enhance their experience. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the deli area, including equipment, utensils, and work surfaces. Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently while adhering to basic math principles. Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service during peak hours. Monitor inventory levels and assist in restocking supplies as needed. Follow all health and safety regulations related to food preparation and handling.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a restaurant or kitchen environment is preferred. Knowledge of food safety practices is essential. Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively. Basic culinary skills with an understanding of food preparation techniques. Excellent communication skills with a friendly and approachable demeanour. Ability to work well under pressure in a busy environment. A willingness to learn new skills and adapt to changing demands within the deli department. Pay: 13.00-14.50 per hour
