Duties

Assist customers with their deli orders, providing knowledgeable recommendations and upselling products to enhance their experience. Prepare a variety of deli items, ensuring adherence to food safety standards and proper food handling procedures. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the deli area, including equipment and utensils. Perform basic maths to accurately weigh and price products for customers. Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient service during busy periods. Monitor stock levels and assist in inventory management, including reporting any shortages or discrepancies. Follow all health and safety regulations to maintain a safe working environment.

Requirements

Previous experience in a kitchen or restaurant setting is preferred but not essential. Basic maths skills are necessary for accurate pricing and portioning of food items. Knowledge of food safety practices is highly desirable. Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently. A passion for culinary arts and an eagerness to learn about food preparation techniques. Excellent communication skills with a friendly disposition to help customers effectively. Ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Pay: Up to 12.21 per hour
