We are seeking a dedicated Deli Chefs to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and customer service, ensuring that our deli section and production kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently. This role involves preparing high-quality food products, maintaining food safety standards, and providing excellent hospitality to our customers. As a Deli Chef, you will play a vital role in creating a welcoming environment while supervising and assisting team members in their daily tasks.

Duties

Prepare and present a variety of deli products, ensuring high culinary standards are met. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the deli area in accordance with food safety regulations. Assist customers with their selections, providing knowledgeable recommendations and exceptional service. Supervise and support team members, fostering a collaborative work environment. Manage inventory levels, ensuring that all products are fresh and well-stocked. Conduct regular quality checks on food items to ensure freshness and compliance with safety standards. Help train new staff on food preparation techniques, safety protocols, and customer service practices. Handle any customer inquiries or complaints with professionalism and care.

Requirements

Previous experience in a culinary or food production environment is preferred. Strong understanding of food safety practices and regulations. Excellent communication skills with a focus on hospitality and customer service. Ability to work effectively within a team while also demonstrating leadership qualities. Experience in supervising or managing team members is an advantage. Proficient in food preparation techniques with a keen eye for detail. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of quality.

Pay: From 15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 16 - 40 per week
