We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Deli Associate to join our team. This role involves food preparation, cooking, and serving, while also maintaining high standards of food safety and hygiene. Supervisory experience is advantageous as the Deli Associate may be responsible for leading a small team.

Responsibilities

Prepare and cook a variety of deli items, ensuring quality and presentation meet company standards. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the deli area in compliance with health and safety regulations. Assist customers with their orders, providing excellent service and recommendations as needed. Monitor inventory levels, placing orders for supplies to ensure the deli is well-stocked at all times. Implement food safety protocols to guarantee the highest standards of hygiene are maintained. Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth workflow during busy periods.

Requirements

Previous experience in food production or a similar role within a restaurant or hospitality environment is essential. Strong culinary skills with a background in food preparation and cooking techniques. Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices is crucial. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage positively with customers and colleagues alike. A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Previous kitchen or culinary experience is highly desirable, along with a passion for delivering exceptional service.
