As a Coffee Shop Assistant, you will be responsible for ensuring that our customers receive high-quality beverages and food, while maintaining a clean and welcoming atmosphere.

Duties

Prepare and serve a variety of coffee and tea beverages, ensuring consistency in quality and presentation. Assist with food preparation, including pastries, sandwiches, and light meals, adhering to food safety standards. Provide excellent customer service by taking orders, answering questions, and making recommendations to enhance the customer experience. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the coffee shop, including dining areas, preparation spaces, and equipment. Handle catering orders as required, ensuring timely delivery and presentation of food items. Collaborate with team members to create a positive work environment and ensure smooth operations during busy periods. Uphold health and safety regulations in all aspects of food handling and preparation.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a cafe or restaurant setting is preferred; barista experience is highly advantageous. Strong hospitality skills with a genuine desire to provide outstanding customer service. Knowledge of food safety practices is essential to ensure compliance with health regulations. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team. A proactive attitude towards learning new skills related to catering and food preparation.
