We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Deli Manager to oversee our deli operations. As a Deli Manager, you will play a crucial role in maintaining food safety standards, supervising staff, and managing day-to-day deli activities.

Duties

Supervise and lead the deli team, fostering a positive work environment that encourages teamwork and collaboration. Oversee the preparation and presentation of deli products, ensuring adherence to quality standards and food safety regulations. Manage inventory levels, placing orders as necessary to maintain stock while minimising waste. Train and mentor staff in culinary techniques, food safety practices, and customer service skills. Assist with scheduling to ensure adequate coverage during peak hours while managing labour costs effectively. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the deli area in compliance with health and safety regulations. Handle customer inquiries and complaints professionally, ensuring a high level of satisfaction.

Experience

Proven experience in a supervisory role within a kitchen or hospitality environment is essential. Strong background in culinary arts or food preparation is highly desirable. Demonstrated ability in team management and leadership, with excellent communication skills. Knowledge of food safety standards and practices is crucial for this position. Previous experience working in a hotel or similar setting would be advantageous.
