On behalf of the MOD, we are looking for a Delivery & Change Lead - Defence Reform Work Stream (Inside 1R35) for a 3 month contract (with possible extension). This is a hybrid working role (three days per week on site - Portsmouth).

Job Purpose
The role works in collaboration with the ICG team and wider organisational stakeholders to deliver these activities. The role holder will be expected to take a prominent role across the Command, working with the ICG team and stakeholders across the Navy to deliver business changes that will reduce bureaucracy and improve productivity. The project work that they lead will vary according to the demands of the Command, but typically they can expect to be working on two projects either within the ICG team or within a multi-disciplinary team drawn from across the organisation, including Digital Navy Applications and RN Comms.
The ideal post holder should have a hybrid background of strategy, operations and commercial along with hands-on experience of refining problem sets to actionable solutions, engaging with senior stakeholders to commission and deliver work and willing to engage confidently on complex business challenges. The role holder will need to be willing to work proactively with significant levels of ambiguity and act with agility to refocus their capacity on the highest priorities of the Navy as required by DNS or the Executive.
SC Clearance is an essential requirement for this role, as a minimum you must be eligible and willing to undergo these checks. Please note, due to the exceptional requirements of this position (short-term nature of this role and speed at which we require a postholder in situ) preference may be given to candidates who meet all of the essential criteria and hold active security clearance.
As a Delivery & Change Lead - Defence Reform Work Stream , your main responsibilities will be:
Provide advice to board level members in the Navy on strategic level issues which encompass policy, capability, commercial, finance and personnel
Work with colleagues to create, develop and lead a credible efficiency programme for the Navy
Be on call to conduct independent project work for the Navy's Second Sea Lord and Finance Director;
