We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Delivery Driver to join our growing team in our brand new Brentwood branch. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods efficiently and safely to various locations across Essex, Kent, London and the surrounding areas. This role requires excellent communication skills and the ability to handle heavy lifting, ensuring that all deliveries are completed in a timely manner while adhering to safety regulations.

Responsibilities

Safely operate a delivery vehicle, ensuring adherence to all traffic laws and regulations. Load and unload goods, performing heavy lifting as necessary. Provide exceptional customer service during each delivery interaction. Communicate with yard staff and customers regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of mileage and fuel usage. Conduct regular vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance with company standards.

Skills

Proven experience as a Delivery Driver or in a similar role is preferred. Strong ability to perform heavy lifting and manual handling tasks. Familiarity with commercial driving regulations and best practices. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with customers and team members. Experience working in a warehouse environment is advantageous. Ability to navigate efficiently using maps or GPS systems. A valid driver's licence appropriate for the vehicle being driven is essential.
