Job Summary

We are seeking a RELIABLE and DEDICATED Self Employed Delivery /Collection Driver to join My team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently to various locations. This role requires excellent communication skills, the ability to perform heavy lifting, and a commitment to providing exceptional service. As a Delivery Driver, you will play a crucial role in ensuring timely deliveries / Collections while maintaining the highest standards of safety and professionalism. Must be able to strap goods/ pallets down for safe transportation

Duties

Safely operate a delivery vehicle, ensuring compliance with all traffic regulations. Load and unload goods, performing heavy lifting as required. Navigate routes efficiently to ensure timely deliveries. Communicate politely effectively with warehouse staff and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential issues. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including signatures / Pictures and any discrepancies. Conduct routine vehicle inspections to ensure safety and reliability. Assist in the warehouse as needed, including inventory management and organisation of goods.

Experience

Previous experience as a Delivery Driver or in a similar role is preferred. 2 years preferred Familiarity with commercial driving regulations and practices is advantageous. Experience in warehouse operations is beneficial for understanding logistics processes. A valid driving licence appropriate for the vehicle being driven is required. With no Points or convictions. Must be over 25 Ability to work independently demonstrating strong communication skills throughout all interactions. Will have a regular Route May be asked to start earlier in morning. But notice given day before Mostly Collections 6 - 15 per day with maybe delivery first thing in morning.
