Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and professional Delivery Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting goods efficiently and safely to various locations, ensuring timely deliveries. This role requires excellent driving skills, strong organisational abilities, and effective communication with clients and team members. The ideal applicant will have prior experience in delivery driving and possess a valid driver's licence. Duties

Safely operate company vehicles, including vans or lorries, to deliver goods to designated locations Plan delivery routes efficiently to optimise time and fuel consumption Load and unload items, often requiring heavy lifting and manual handling Ensure all deliveries are completed accurately and on schedule Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs Communicate effectively with dispatchers, clients, and team members regarding delivery status or issues Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance needs or safety concerns Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations during all driving activities

Experience

Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar commercial driving role Valid driver's licence with a clean driving record Experience with warehouse operations or logistics is advantageous Ability to perform heavy lifting as required for loading and unloading goods Strong communication skills to interact professionally with clients and team members Familiarity with GPS navigation tools and route planning software is preferred
