Overview

We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Delivery Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring timely and safe delivery of goods to various locations while providing excellent customer service. This role requires a strong commitment to safety and efficiency, as well as the ability to manage time effectively.

Duties

Safely operate delivery vehicles, ensuring compliance with all traffic regulations and company policies. Load and unload goods, performing heavy lifting as required. Conduct pre-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure they are in good working condition. Navigate routes efficiently using GPS or maps, ensuring timely deliveries. Communicate effectively with customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including signatures and any discrepancies. Assist in warehouse duties when not on the road, including inventory management and organisation.

Experience

Previous experience as a delivery driver is essential, with a proven track record of reliability and punctuality. A valid driving licence is required; experience driving larger vehicles or commercial driving is advantageous. Familiarity with warehouse operations is a plus, along with experience in handling various types of goods. Strong communication skills are necessary for interacting with customers and team members effectively. Ability to perform heavy lifting and manage physical demands associated with the role.
