We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods from our warehouse to various locations, ensuring timely and safe delivery. This role requires excellent communication skills and the ability to handle heavy lifting as part of daily duties. A valid commercial driving licence and experience as a van driver are essential for this position.

Duties

Safely operate a delivery van to transport goods to designated locations. Load and unload items, ensuring that all products are handled with care and delivered in good condition. Communicate effectively with warehouse staff and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential issues. Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure the delivery van is in optimal working condition. Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while driving. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including times, locations, and any discrepancies encountered during transit. Assist in the warehouse as needed, including inventory management and organisation of stock.

Qualifications

Valid commercial driving licence is required. Previous experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role is preferred. Ability to lift heavy items safely and efficiently. Strong communication skills to interact with customers and team members effectively. Familiarity with local roadways and navigation systems is advantageous. A proactive attitude towards problem-solving and customer service is essential.
