Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable, easy going, friendly and professional Delivery Driver to join our small team. The successful candidate will be responsible for dropping / collecting clean / dirty laundry bags to a range of different customers, ensuring timely deliveries. This role requires excellent driving skills, good communication, and the ability to handle physical tasks associated with heavy lifting.

The ideal applicant will have previous delivery experience and hold a valid driver's licence suitable for commercial driving. Full route training will be given (covering Bristol city Centre and Bath city centre)

Applicant must be happy and familiar with driving a long wheelbase 2025 Ford custom.

We are a small independent commercial laundry company opening a brand new base in Wincanton January 2026.

Hours of role are 9:00-14:00

Monday, Wednesday & Friday.

Duties

Safely operate company vehicles, including lorries or vans, to deliver goods to customers and clients across designated routes. Plan and follow efficient delivery routes to optimise time and fuel consumption. Load and unload goods, ensuring items are secured properly during transit. Communicate effectively with customers regarding delivery schedules or any unforeseen delays. Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs. Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues promptly. Adhere to all health and safety regulations during deliveries.

Requirements

Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role, with a strong understanding of commercial driving practices. Valid driver's licence suitable for commercial vehicles. Excellent driving skills with a clean driving record preferred. Strong organisational skills Good communication skills Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy items when necessary. Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently under minimal supervision.
