THE HOURS, WAGE & HOLIDAY ARE ON A PRO RATA BASIS

The role will be part time initially, but will increase to full time once the depot is established.

We are seeking a reliable and motivated Delivery Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting goods to various locations while ensuring timely and safe delivery. This role requires excellent driving skills, a strong sense of responsibility, and the ability to communicate effectively with both customers and team members.

Must be aged 25 + for insurance purposes.

Also included is the potential for a monthly bonus depending on performance of the depot .

Duties

Safely operate a delivery vehicle, ensuring compliance with all traffic regulations and company policies. Load and unload goods, including heavy lifting as required, while maintaining proper handling procedures. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition. Communicate effectively with customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of mileage and fuel usage. Collaborate with warehouse staff to ensure efficient loading processes and inventory management. Provide exceptional customer service by addressing any concerns or questions during the delivery process. General housekeeping / warehouse duties

Qualifications

Previous experience as a delivery driver is preferred but not essential A valid driver's licence, with no more than 3 points . Familiarity with warehouse operations and logistics is beneficial. Ability to perform heavy lifting as required by the role. Strong communication skills to interact effectively with customers and colleagues. A proactive attitude towards safety and compliance in all driving activities.
