We are seeking a reliable and motivated Delivery Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting goods to various locations, ensuring timely and safe delivery. This role requires excellent communication skills and the ability to navigate efficiently while adhering to all road safety regulations. As a Delivery Driver, you will play a crucial role in maintaining customer satisfaction through prompt and professional service.

Duties

Operate delivery vans in a safe and responsible manner. Load and unload goods, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage during transit. Communicate effectively with bakery staff and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential issues. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including times, locations, and any discrepancies. Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure safety standards are met. Follow all company policies and procedures related to health and safety while on the road.

Requirements

Must be 30 years old for insurance purposes. Valid driving licence with a clean driving record; experience in commercial driving is preferred. Previous experience as a Delivery Driver or in a similar role is advantageous. Physical fitness is essential for this role. Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively. Familiarity with bakery operations is beneficial but not mandatory. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to liaise with customers and team members effectively. A proactive attitude towards problem-solving and customer service excellence.
