We are seeking a reliable and professional Delivery Driver to join our team.

This is a self employed position.

The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting out beautiful flowers safely to various locations, ensuring timely deliveries. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a passion for driving and customer service. We cover a large delivery area, and you will be coving 2 of our shops .ie Ipswich and West Mersea.

Busy times ie Christmas , valentines and Mother's Day will require extra hours.

Duties

Safely operate company vehicles, adhering to all traffic laws Deliver goods to customers or clients across designated routes within specified timeframes. Assist with loading and unloading items, which may involve heavy lifting and manual handling. Ensure all deliveries are accurately documented and signed off as required. Maintain the cleanliness and routine maintenance of the vehicle, reporting any issues promptly. Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers to coordinate delivery schedules and resolve any issues that arise during transit. Follow company policies regarding safety procedures, route planning, and delivery protocols.

Skills

Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role, with a strong understanding of commercial driving practices. Valid clean driver's licence appropriate for the vehicle type (e.g., car licence or specific commercial licence).. Ability to perform heavy lifting when required, demonstrating physical fitness and stamina. Excellent communication skills to interact professionally with customers and team members. Strong organisational skills for route planning and time management. Knowledge of traffic laws, safety standards, and vehicle maintenance procedures. This position is ideal for motivated individuals who take pride in their driving skills and customer service excellence while ensuring safe and efficient deliveries across our operational area.
