We are seeking a reliable and professional Delivery Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting goods efficiently and safely to various locations, ensuring timely deliveries. A valid driver's licence and previous delivery experience are essential for this position.
Basic 25,000 per annum - working Mon-Fri.
Plenty of opportunity for extra earnings with weekend and evening work.
Company van, fuel and all insurances provided.
Responsibilities
Safely operate company vehicles, including vans and lorries, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
Deliver goods to clients and customers promptly, maintaining high standards of customer service.
Load and unload items, often involving heavy lifting, ensuring items are secured properly during transit.
Maintain accurate delivery documentation and obtain necessary signatures upon delivery.
Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding delivery schedules and any unforeseen delays.
Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues promptly.
Follow health and safety protocols at all times during deliveries and warehouse activities.
Qualifications
Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar commercial driving role.
Valid driver's licence with a clean driving record; a driver qualification is preferred.
Experience in warehouse operations or logistics is advantageous.
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when handling goods.
Excellent communication skills to interact professionally with clients and team members.
Knowledge of local routes and traffic regulations within the area.
