Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and professional Delivery Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting goods efficiently and safely to various locations, ensuring timely deliveries. This role requires excellent driving skills, good organisation, and the ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members. Previous delivery driver experience is preferred, along with a valid driver's licence. Responsibilities

Safely operate company vehicles, including lorries and vans, to deliver goods to clients across designated routes Plan delivery routes efficiently to optimise time and fuel consumption Load and unload goods, often requiring heavy lifting, ensuring items are secure during transit Confirm deliveries with clients upon arrival and obtain necessary signatures or documentation Maintain accurate delivery records and update tracking systems regularly Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after shifts to ensure safety standards are met Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules or any unforeseen delays Adhere strictly to traffic laws, health and safety regulations, and company policies at all times

Skills

Proven experience as a delivery driver or in commercial driving roles Valid driver's licence with a clean driving record Experience working within warehouse environments or handling heavy lifting tasks Strong organisational skills for route planning and time management Excellent communication skills for liaising with clients and team members Ability to operate various types of commercial vehicles safely and efficiently Physical fitness to manage heavy lifting and long periods of driving or standing
