Overview

I am seeking a reliable and motivated Delivery Driver to join our team, preferably with their own van that can be used for peak days/seasons. This is a zero hours contract job with a variable amount of hours a week, I am looking for someone to cover one day a week and to fill in for holidays and other occasions. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting bouquets of flowers and arrangements to various locations in Leeds while ensuring timely and safe delivery. This role requires a strong commitment to allocated work days, being a responsible driving with a clean license and a knowledge of the postcodes across Leeds .

Duties

Safely operate a delivery vehicle, ensuring compliance with all traffic regulations and company policies. Load and unload flower arrangements and boxes of bouquets with care and attention Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition. Maintain an accurate checklist of deliveries, including delivery times, being able to find a suitable safe space for customers who are not at home and any discrepancies. Communicate effectively with staff and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential issues. Provide excellent customer service whilst handing over orders to recipients.

Skills

Previous experience as a delivery driver is essential. A valid driver's licence with a clean driving record is required; experience with commercial driving is advantageous. Familiarity with Leeds postcodes will be beneficial. Strong communication skills to interact professionally with customers and team members. Ability to navigate google maps from an iPhone or to use a satnav if your own. Excellent driving skills, with a good knowledge of local roads and routes.
