Delivery Driver
Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Safely and efficiently deliver packages to customers' homes or businesses
- Follow delivery routes and time schedules
- Load, unload, prepare, inspect, and operate a delivery vehicle
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating with customers and addressing any concerns or questions they may have
- Complete necessary paperwork and log sheets accurately and timely
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while operating the delivery vehicle.
*This role requires you to have your own vehicle.
Experience:
- Previous experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role is preferred
- Familiarity with local roads and neighbourhoods is a plus
- Ability to navigate using GPS or other navigation systems
- Strong communication skills to interact with customers and team members
- Physical stamina to handle heavy lifting and carrying of packages
Skills:
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Ability to drive and operate a delivery vehicle safely and responsibly
- Knowledge of commercial driving regulations and best practices
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong time management skills to meet delivery deadlines
