Job type:

Full-time, 40 hours per week, 6 month fixed-term contract; 4-5 month FTC also considered

Hours:

8.00am to 4.30pm (Monday - Friday) with 30 mins unpaid lunch break

Salary:

Category C1: 25,400-28,000 per annum, Class 2: up to 30,000 per annum

Benefits:

30 days annual holiday allowance (pro rata), inclusive of bank and statutory holidays, weekly beer and trade sampling allowance, staff discount and company pension contribution

Who we are:

Stewart Brewing is an award winning, Midlothian-based brewery, which is undergoing substantial growth in an exciting market. Located in the Bilston Glen Industrial estate in a custom-built brewery, with a team of 30 full-time employees, the business is all about quality, exceptional service and a fun and progressive team environment.

What your typical day would look like:

You will be part of a team that delivers high quality craft beer across a diverse range of styles and package formats. Following a trial period, the successful candidate will be required to assist and help manage the day-to-day operations of the brewery. This will involve:

Vehicle checks and cleaning

Collating orders

Delivering beer and CO2 cylinders around Edinburgh, but also in areas extending as far as Newcastle and Aberdeen, using PDA device

Collecting containers (casks/kegs)

Forklift truck operation; licence and/or articulated FLT experience desirable but not required

Who we're looking for:

We are looking for a courteous, respectful and trusted employee who will play a large part in the growth of this established company and its representation to customers and the public. Previous experience in delivery driving is essential and a sound knowledge of Edinburgh and the Lothians is advantageous. The suitable candidate would be a practical and physically fit person. Further skills required include, but are not limited to:

High level of attention to detail to ensure beer is delivered accurately; Be hard working, self-motivated and use their initiative; Be a quick learner; Be flexible, adaptable and happy to cover all duties required; Have a full driving licence (with CPC card/qualified to drive 7.5T vehicle or above); Able to safely manoeuvre 50-60kg containers repeatedly, throughout the day; this is a physically demanding role
