Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and professional Delivery Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting goods efficiently and safely to various locations, ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining excellent customer service. Responsibilities

Safely operate company vehicles, including vans and lorries, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations. Plan delivery routes effectively to optimise efficiency and punctuality. Load and unload goods, ensuring items are handled with care and secured properly during transit. Communicate clearly with customers upon delivery, providing excellent service and addressing any queries professionally. Complete all necessary documentation accurately, including delivery notes and logs. Perform routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues promptly. Assist with warehouse duties when required, including heavy lifting and organising stock.

Requirements

Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role, demonstrating safe driving practices. Valid driver's licence suitable for the vehicle type (e.g., car licence or commercial driving licence). Experience with commercial driving and knowledge of traffic regulations. Ability to handle heavy lifting and manual handling tasks safely. Strong organisational skills with the ability to plan routes efficiently. Excellent communication skills to interact professionally with customers and team members. Previous warehouse experience is advantageous but not essential.
