Overview

We are seeking a reliable and professional Delivery Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring timely and safe delivery of goods to our customers, maintaining excellent communication throughout the process. Previous delivery driver experience and a valid driver's licence are preferred, along with a background in commercial driving or warehouse operations.

Duties

Safely operate company vehicles, to deliver goods to various locations within designated areas. Plan and follow efficient delivery routes to ensure timely arrivals. Load and unload items, often requiring heavy lifting, with care and attention to safety protocols. Communicate effectively with customers upon delivery, providing excellent customer service. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel consumption, and delivery confirmations. Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues promptly. Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies during deliveries. Assist with warehouse tasks as needed, including stock organisation and inventory checks.

Requirements

Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role involving commercial driving. Valid driver's licence with a clean driving record. Experience with heavy lifting and manual handling tasks. Strong communication skills for interacting professionally with customers and team members. Ability to organise routes efficiently and manage time effectively. Previous warehouse experience is advantageous but not essential. Physical fitness to handle the demands of heavy lifting and prolonged periods of driving or standing. A responsible attitude towards safety and adherence to regulations is essential for this role.
