Duties

Safely operate company vehicles, including vans and lorries, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations Deliver goods to various locations within designated areas, ensuring accurate and complete deliveries Assist with loading and unloading items, which may involve heavy lifting and manual handling Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays Conduct routine vehicle checks to ensure roadworthiness and report any maintenance issues promptly Follow health and safety procedures at all times during deliveries

Requirements

Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role, with a strong understanding of commercial driving regulations Valid driver's licence, preferably with a driver qualification or equivalent certification Experience in warehouse operations or logistics is advantageous Ability to perform heavy lifting when required, maintaining proper manual handling techniques Excellent communication skills to interact professionally with clients and team members Good organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively and prioritise deliveries Clean driving record with the ability to pass background checks and vehicle assessments Flexibility to work varied hours as needed, including early mornings or late shifts if required
