Responsibilities

Safely operate delivery vehicles, including lorries and vans, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations Plan efficient delivery routes to optimise time and fuel consumption Load and unload goods, often requiring heavy lifting and manual handling Ensure accurate documentation of deliveries and pickups Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules or issues Maintain the cleanliness and basic maintenance of the vehicle Follow health and safety protocols at all times during deliveries

Qualifications

Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role, preferably with commercial driving experience Valid driver's licence appropriate for van vehicle type Strong driving skills with a clean driving record Experience working in warehouse environments or handling heavy loads is advantageous Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written Ability to perform heavy lifting when required Organised with good time management skills to meet delivery deadlines Knowledge of local roads and traffic regulations is preferred
