Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and professional Delivery Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently to various locations, ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining excellent customer service. This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, supporting the smooth operation of our logistics and distribution services.

Duties

Safely operate company vehicles, including vans and lorries, to deliver goods to clients and customers. Plan delivery routes effectively to optimise efficiency and minimise delays. Load and unload items, ensuring proper handling and securement of cargo. Assist with warehouse duties such as stock organisation and inventory checks when required. Communicate professionally with clients regarding delivery times and any potential delays. Complete all necessary paperwork accurately, including delivery logs and receipts. Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after shifts to ensure safety standards are met. Adhere to all traffic laws, health and safety regulations, and company policies during deliveries.

Skills

Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role, preferably with commercial driving experience. Valid driver's licence with a clean driving record. Strong knowledge of local roads and navigation skills. Ability to perform heavy lifting when required, especially during loading and unloading processes. Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with clients and team members. Experience working in warehouse environments is advantageous. Good organisational skills for route planning and time management. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high standards of safety and professionalism.
