Overview

We are looking for a reliable, hardworking Delivery Driver to join our team at HPS Maidenhead, a busy plumbing and heating merchant serving trade professionals across the region. This is more than just a driving job - you'll play a key part in the day-to-day running of the branch, helping to ensure customers receive the right materials on time while also supporting the team in the warehouse.

The ideal candidate will have strong driving skills, a good understanding of customer service, and a willingness to get involved in all aspects of warehouse operations including stock management and order preparation.

Key Responsibilities

Safely operate a delivery van, ensuring all goods are delivered promptly and in good condition Load and unload the van, performing heavy lifting where required Deliver to trade sites and customers across the area, providing excellent customer service Work closely with warehouse staff to pick and prepare orders accurately Help with booking in deliveries from suppliers and managing stock rotation Keep the warehouse clean, tidy, and organised at all times Conduct daily vehicle checks and ensure the van is kept clean and roadworthy Maintain accurate delivery records and report any issues or discrepancies promptly
Requirements

Full UK driving licence with a clean record Previous experience as a delivery driver or in a warehouse/stock management role preferred Comfortable with manual handling and heavy lifting Strong communication and customer service skills A team player with a proactive and can-do attitude Basic understanding of warehouse processes is an advantage
