We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods from our warehouse to various locations, ensuring timely and safe delivery. This role requires excellent communication skills and the ability to handle heavy lifting as part of daily operations. Duties

Safely operate a delivery van or vehicle, adhering to all traffic regulations and company policies. Load and unload goods from the vehicle, ensuring items are secured for transport. Communicate effectively with warehouse staff and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential issues. Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure safety and reliability. Navigate efficiently to various delivery locations, utilising maps or GPS systems as necessary. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including documentation of any discrepancies or damages. Assist in warehouse duties when not on delivery routes, including inventory management and organisation of stock.

Qualifications

Previous experience as a Delivery Driver or in a similar role is preferred. Valid driving licence with a clean driving record; experience in commercial driving is advantageous. Ability to lift heavy items safely and efficiently, demonstrating physical fitness for the role. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with customers and team members effectively. Familiarity with warehouse operations is a plus. A proactive attitude towards problem-solving and customer service is essential.
