Job Overview

We are a busy local takeaway looking for a reliable and friendly delivery driver to join our team. The role involves delivering food orders promptly and safely while providing excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver food orders to customers accurately and on time Ensure food is handled safely and kept in good condition during delivery Provide polite and professional customer service at all times Handle cash and card payments where required Follow delivery routes efficiently using maps or GPS Assist in the shop during quiet periods (e.g. packing orders, basic cleaning) Maintain cleanliness and basic checks of delivery vehicle (if using company vehicle)
Requirements

Valid UK driving licence (clean or minimal points preferred) Good knowledge of the local area Own vehicle (if required) with valid insurance for delivery use Punctual, reliable, and trustworthy Good communication and customer service skills Ability to work evenings, weekends, and busy periods Able to work well under pressure during peak times

Experience

Previous delivery driving experience preferred but not essential Full training provided
