Responsibilities

Safely operate company vehicles, including vans and lorries, in accordance with road safety regulations and company policies. Plan and follow efficient delivery routes to ensure timely arrival at destinations. Load and unload goods, often requiring heavy lifting, with attention to safety procedures. Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays. Maintain accurate delivery records and documentation. Conduct routine vehicle inspections to ensure proper functioning and report any maintenance issues promptly. Uphold high standards of customer service by representing the company professionally during deliveries.

Requirements

Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role, with strong knowledge of commercial driving practices. Valid driver's licence, preferably with relevant endorsements for heavy or commercial vehicles. Experience in warehouse operations or logistics is advantageous. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently. Excellent communication skills to interact courteously with customers and team members. Good organisational skills for route planning and time management. A responsible attitude towards safety and adherence to traffic laws.
