Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and professional Delivery Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely transporting goods to various locations, ensuring timely deliveries, and providing excellent customer service. Duties

Safely operate company vehicles, including vans and lorries, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations Deliver goods to clients and customers across designated routes within the specified timeframes Load and unload items, often requiring heavy lifting and manual handling Ensure accurate documentation of deliveries, including obtaining signatures and maintaining delivery logs Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules or any issues encountered Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance or safety concerns promptly Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the vehicle to ensure optimal operation

Requirements

Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role, with a strong understanding of commercial driving procedures Valid driver's licence with a clean driving record, preferably with a driver qualification Experience with warehouse operations and heavy lifting is advantageous Excellent communication skills to interact professionally with clients and team members Ability to manage time efficiently and work independently under minimal supervision Physical fitness for heavy lifting and manual handling tasks Knowledge of local routes and navigation skills using GPS or maps
