Overview

We are seeking a reliable and professional Delivery Driver to join our local friendly team. The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting goods efficiently and safely to several locations in London, ensuring timely deliveries and maintaining excellent customer service. This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, supporting the smooth operation of our logistics services. The shifts would be Thursday evening and Friday evening, with each shift being approximately 12 hours each. If more shifts become available we are more than happy to provide more working days to the right applicate. You would also receive paid, on the job training to get you to a position of comfort and high standard of work.

Duties

Safely operate company vehicles, to deliver goods to clients and distribution centres. Plan delivery routes effectively to optimise efficiency and meet scheduled deadlines. load and unload items on to the van, with weights ranging from 5kg-20kg Ensure all deliveries are accurately documented and signed off as required. Maintain the cleanliness and safety of the vehicle at all times through regular checks. Communicate professionally with clients and team members regarding delivery schedules or issues encountered during routes. Adhere strictly to traffic laws, health and safety regulations, and company policies during all driving activities.

Skills

Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar commercial driving role. Valid driver's licence suitable for operating company vehicles Experience in warehouse operations is advantageous, but no required Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently when handling goods. Strong communication skills to interact effectively with clients and team members. Excellent organisational skills for route planning and time management. Knowledge of traffic laws, safety standards, and vehicle maintenance procedures. This position requires a dedicated individual capable of managing multiple deliveries daily while maintaining high standards of professionalism and safety.

Pay: 13.00-14.00 per hour

Expected hours: 24 - 28 per week
