The role

We are one of the largest and longest established suppliers of products to the catering trade in the north of England and the south of Scotland.

Due to continue growth, we are recruiting for a Delivery Driver, to work 24 hours per week, over 3 days, 6.00am - 2.30pm each day with a half hour unpaid lunch break Monday to Saturday. 12.60 per hour (weekly paid).

You will be required to cover holidays and sickness and must hold a valid driving licence.

Duties and Responsibilities

Load customers' orders on to the delivery vehicles as required and as your licence(s) allows. Deliver orders to customers as specified on delivery notes ensuring they arrive at times required by the customer. To use any machinery that is necessary, following adequate training, in the course of your work such as fork lift trucks and pallet barrows. To ensure that all procedures laid down in the Company's Drivers' Procedures are adhered to, e.g., road traffic laws, vehicle inspection, defect reporting, refuelling, vehicle cleaning and tachograph rules. To ensure that a "clean as you go" policy is followed, as defined in the Company's cleaning schedule. To ensure personal standards and performance are maintained in accordance with Company policies, codes of practice and pre-determined targets. To ensure Company policies on Health & Safety, Quality, Hygiene and Due Diligence are met during all duties and activities. To carry out any other duties as reasonably required.

24 hours per week, over 3 days, 6.00am - 2.30pm each day with a half hour unpaid lunch break Monday to Saturday. 12.60 per hour (weekly paid).
