Responsibilities

Safely operate company vehicles to deliver goods to customers across designated routes Plan delivery routes efficiently to optimise time and fuel consumption Load and unload items, ensuring proper handling and securement of cargo Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules or issues Maintain accurate delivery documentation and obtain necessary signatures upon receipt Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after shifts, reporting any maintenance needs Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies during deliveries Assist with warehouse duties when required, including heavy lifting and stock organisation

Skills

Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role within logistics or warehousing Valid driver's licence with a clean driving record Experience with commercial driving vehicles such as lorries or vans Strong driving skills with excellent knowledge of local routes and traffic regulations Ability to perform heavy lifting when loading or unloading goods safely Good organisational skills for route planning and time management Excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with clients and team members Ability to work independently, demonstrating reliability and professionalism at all times
