Overview

We are seeking a reliable and motivated Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods to various locations while ensuring timely and safe deliveries. This role requires excellent driving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively with customers and team members.

Duties

Safely operate a delivery vehicle to transport goods to designated locations. Conduct pre-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition. Load and unload goods, ensuring that items are secured properly during transit. Maintain accurate delivery records and complete necessary paperwork. Communicate with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise. Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while on the road. Assist in warehouse duties as needed, including heavy lifting and organising stock.

Experience

Previous experience as a delivery driver is preferred, particularly in a commercial driving capacity. Familiarity with driving regulations and safety standards. Experience in a warehouse environment is advantageous, especially for handling heavy lifting tasks. Strong communication skills are essential for interacting with customers and team members effectively. A valid driver's licence is required, with a clean driving record being highly desirable.
