We are seeking a reliable and professional Delivery Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting goods efficiently and safely to various locations, ensuring timely deliveries and maintaining excellent customer service. Responsibilities

Safely operate delivery vehicles, including vans and lorries, adhering to all traffic laws and company policies. Plan delivery routes effectively to optimise efficiency and minimise delays. Load and unload goods, ensuring items are secured properly during transit. Communicate clearly with dispatch and customers regarding delivery times or any unforeseen issues. Maintain accurate delivery documentation and records of completed routes. Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance needs promptly. Assist with warehouse tasks such as organising stock and preparing goods for dispatch when required. Handle heavy lifting of packages, ensuring safety procedures are followed at all times.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role, with a strong understanding of commercial driving regulations. Valid driver's licence suitable for the vehicle type (e.g., car or lorry). Experience in warehouse operations or logistics is advantageous. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently. Excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with team members and customers. Organised with good time management skills to meet tight schedules. Knowledge of local routes and traffic patterns is preferred.
