Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and professional Delivery Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting goods efficiently and safely to various locations, ensuring timely deliveries. This role requires excellent driving skills, strong organisational abilities, and effective communication with clients and team members. Responsibilities

Safely operate company vehicles, including vans and lorries, to deliver goods to designated locations. Plan delivery routes to optimise efficiency and meet scheduled deadlines. Load and unload items, often requiring heavy lifting, ensuring items are secure during transit. Verify delivery orders against manifests and obtain signatures upon completion of deliveries. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and fuel consumption. Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues promptly. Communicate effectively with dispatchers, clients, and team members regarding delivery status or delays. Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations at all times during operations.

Experience

Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role within commercial driving or warehouse environments. Valid driver's licence with a clean driving record. Experience with commercial driving vehicles such as vans or lorries is preferred. Familiarity with route planning and GPS navigation tools. Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary, demonstrating physical fitness for the role. Strong communication skills to interact professionally with customers and colleagues.
