Job Overview

We are seeking a reliable and professional Delivery Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting goods efficiently and safely to various locations, ensuring timely deliveries. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a passion for driving and customer service, looking to contribute to a dynamic logistics operation. A valid driver's licence and experience in commercial driving are essential, along with the ability to handle physical tasks such as heavy lifting when required.

The role will primarily be working afternoons and evenings. Monday to Thursday (Starting roughly around 3pm and finishing 8.30pm - changes daily)

Responsibilities

Safely operate company vehicles, including lorries and vans, adhering to all road safety regulations and company policies. Plan and follow efficient delivery routes to ensure timely arrival at destinations. Load and unload goods, often requiring heavy lifting, while maintaining safety standards. Communicate effectively with clients and team members regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays. Complete all necessary documentation accurately, including delivery notes and logs. Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues promptly. Maintain a professional appearance and behaviour when interacting with customers during deliveries.

Experience

Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role within logistics or warehouse environments is helpful but not essential. Valid driver's licence suitable for the vehicle type being operated, with a clean driving record. Experience in commercial driving is highly desirable. Familiarity with warehouse procedures and handling heavy loads is advantageous. Strong communication skills to interact effectively with clients and team members. Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including heavy lifting, on a regular basis. Pay: 12.21 per hour

Expected hours: 16 - 24 per week
